My name is Jonathan Rupprecht. I’m a practicing aviation attorney. I’m also a FAA certificated commercial pilot (ASEL & AMEL) and flight instructor (CFI & CFII). I’m also a former professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. My background is that I’ve been in aviation since 2004 when I started flying and drones since 2013 when I started researching the law surrounding drones.

My articles have been cited by Newsweek, Politico, and The Hill.  I’ve also had media appearances in Forbes, NPR, & Marketwatch. I have also been working with John Taylor on the Taylor v. FAA case which made headlines because the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals vacated the drone registration regulations as applied to Section 336 protected aircraft.

This website is focused on the U.S. drone industry. The articles are designed to give you accurate in-depth analysis of the topics from a person actually working in the industry. I’m constantly sending out articles to my newsletter. Over 30,000 people have signed up. Sign up below!
